Translation of websites
Translation of websites is creation of a new language version of the website, which includes translation of not only the website content, but interface elements, references, images, media content. Translation of a website assumes adjustment of the content to linguistic and national peculiarities of the target language.
How we assure quality of a website translation
1. We established and adhere to the following requirements to the website translation:
- translation is performed with consideration for search requests, i.e. words and phrases, according whereto a website is indexed by search engines;
- for correct translation outside service objects (banners, buttons, flash icons), detailed study of the original website is required;
- when translating, website style, aimed at influence on a certain target audience of the website, shall be preserved.
2. Glossary of major terms and key words and phrases is agreed with the customer.
3. We use translation memory systems (CAT tools) to provide unified terminology and preserve a structure of the document.
4. All specialists involved in one project collectively use the project glossary and have shared access to auxiliary materials.
5. After the translation is accomplished, the ready text is subject to quality control with respect both to the translation correctness, and compliance of layout with the original text.
